Make your own custom linux cd using NimbleX web interface.  There's quite a few 
free and open source applications to choose from (including games).  The iso file 
is stored on-line for 6 hours after you've created it so that should give some 
enough time to find a broadband connection if necessary.  Once you download 
and burn the image file you will have a LiveCD that you can boot from and use just 
about anywhere.
